"Live, Love, Rescue" | Images & Graphics Promoting Adoption for Cats and Dogs

Did you know that you can be a hero right where you live? It's true - every single day, countless numbers of individuals all across the country decide to save lives by visiting and adopting a new family member. Whether you connect with a local rescue in your state, the county animal shelter or city humane society, choosing to adopt is the smartest option out there! The love and wonderful gratitude in the eyes of a creature who has been given a wonderful new home is a beautiful thing to see, and if you have not adopted before I sincerely encourage you to look for resources in your local area. It has seemed to me that quite often our "pre-owned" furry friends are indeed aware that they were specially chosen to make our home complete, and I think they know that being rescued is a very big deal. We wouldn't have it any other way!

With the goal in mind of sharing such an important message with the public, I've created artwork, backgrounds and images that are included below. These are primarily my own designs (those which include the "Altered Delmarva" name on them), and I've added in some public domain clip art as well. My graphics are free to animal welfare organizations to use for promoting adoption of homeless dogs and cats - please share, download and re-post them to pass on the word that rescue truly is the smartest and kindest choice. Many of the images have additional blank space left on them where you could add the name of your facility or rescue group.

While there are so many folks whose lives have been brightened by the introduction of a four-footed friend, there are still a lot of people who sadly, do not understand. The The idea that a "pre-owned" dog or cat is in any way less suitable than BUYING a dog is absolutely ridiculous, not to mention that animals raised for profit very often live in horrible conditions just for humans to make money off of. We can't help them all unfortunately, however we CAN work to educate, inform and enlighten. I hope you will consider sharing these graphics and telling others about the beauty of saving a life so that many more of the amazing animals out there may find new and wonderful homes.

Rescuing an animal from a legitimate organization is one of the best things you can do! Not only does that save a life, but also benefits the facility by opening up a new space and providing them with some of the funds needed to continue their work. To those in animal welfare, my hat is off to you for all that you manage and accomplish each and every day!
